There’s so many things I want to tell you–
like how I accidentally locked my keys, phone, purse, laptop, and spare set of keys inside my car at a gas station. not just any gas station, either. it was one without a phone or any kind of roadside assistance numbers handy. and how i was so tired and overwhelmed that i just started crying right there. and instead of (like a normal person) asking someone to borrow their phone (not like i knew any numbers to call offhand), i asked if anyone knew how to break into my car. of course someone did. not for nothing do i live in anaheim.
like how my car ended up fine…only to be hit two or three days later by a random person (through no fault of my own, i would like to add). how i’ve never been in an accident before, and i literally had no idea what to do. and how the insurance companies were super great, took care of everything. how i had to explain many times to everyone—insurance people and rental car people alike–that im scared of driving big cars. that i really really wanted the smallest car they had. smaller. smaller. yes, that tricycle would be fine.
and how one night i went out to joshua tree–a longtime goal of mine–to try and take night sky pictures, but really had no idea what i was doing so they look like noontime pictures. need to research that more.
or how the book i chose to read this month turned out to be excellent in some ways and terrible in others (murder mystery), so i really can’t recommend it. and i really hate to give you the title, even. but i did read it (a few parts i had to skim. but im counting it anyway).
or about my july project, which started out being a coffee table—a coffee table that had an inset in the center where you could put a vintage scrabble board game, so you could always have a game going on—but there were so many technical difficulties (#1 being–duh–you turn the board when you play scrabble. forgot about that), so my project had to become something totally different halfway through the month. which it did. but that new something is a present for someone and until i give it to them, i dont want to mention it. not that they read this blog. but knowing my luck.
too bad im too tired to tell you all about it…well, maybe another time. lots of lessons learned, though. including how to break into a car without a slim jim. just sayin.
