it’s not the most original of articles, but props to maureen dowd for her well-written, likeable sum-up of things in DC. “bringing sexy back” reflects on the similarities and differences between scott brown and president obama – all while (whether intentionally or not) painting an insightful, tongue-in-cheek picture of the american people.

hunch dot com
so i found this new website, www.hunch.com, that makes decisions for you! not randomly, like a magic 8 ball or anything like that. no, this site asks you a series of questions, and based on your answer gives you your real answer.
you can’t ask super deep stuff — its designed for things like “what should i have for lunch?” “should i quit my job?” “what’s the best profession for me?” “what city should i live in?” — things like that.
and, no lie, after answering 5 or 6 questions, it told me i should become either a secondary school teacher or an editor. no lie.
also its super fun because you just keep answering questions (or skipping them if you dont want to answer). fun questions and tricky ones. you build a profile as you answer and it claims to tailor your main answer according to your profile. i dunno how, but i totally heart it. heart heart heart.
(you can also ask it: “should i do my homework?” “should i write a novel?” “what magazine should i read?” or “should i ask for a raise.” uber fun)
whoa
so i just logged in to write a quick note and found a ton of comments on my tea party post… apparently if you link to CNN.com, CNN.com will link to you. how sweet.
but what i really wanted to say was this: if i ever get famous, the first thing i’m doing (before my fame ends abruptly and i disappear into oblivion, as i’m sure i will) is trying to be on dancing with the stars.
